AskOllie.net Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 July 2026

AskOllie.net ("we", "us") is getting ready to launch. If you give us your email address, we will use it to let you know when the new site is live. This policy explains what we do with that information.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Kathrin Kohlhaeufl, Rua de Sao Mamede 18, 2D, 1100-534 Lisboa, Portugal. Questions about your data? Email us at info@askollie.net.

What we collect

Only what you give us: your email address (and your first name, if you choose to add it). We do not collect anything else on this page, and we do not use cookies, analytics, or trackers.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your email for one purpose: to send you a single notification (and possibly one or two short follow-ups) when AskOllie.net launches. Our legal basis under the GDPR is your consent, which you give by submitting your email. You can withdraw it at any time (see "Your rights").

We will not use your email for unrelated marketing, and we will never sell or rent it.

Who can see it

Your email is stored and sent through Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.), our email service provider, who processes it on our behalf under a data-processing agreement. Mailchimp is based in the United States. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. We do not share your email with anyone else, except where we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

We keep your email only until we have told you the site is live, plus a short period afterwards, and no longer than 12 months after launch. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we remove it promptly.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can, at any time, ask us to: access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent. To do any of these, email info@askollie.net. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in Portugal, the CNPD).

International storage

Because Mailchimp is based in the United States, your email is transferred to and stored in the US. This transfer is covered by Mailchimp's (Intuit Inc.) certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and by the standard contractual clauses in its data processing agreement.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version, with its date, will always be posted here.
